55 Degrees North is an online clothing and accessory retailer that brings high quality Danish designs to the Australian market.

The website was designed and developed by Tom Synnott of Untitled Studio.

What is your overall impression of LemonStand's template system?

“It was good - having the content blocks with rich text editor dynamically generated for you made things very easy.”

Have you ever used other shopping carts? If so, how do you think LemonStand compares?

“Yes, I have used Magento before and after that nightmare of an experience I thought I would never build another eCommerce website... but along came LemonStand and made eCommerce fun again.”

What are some of your favorite features of LemonStand, and why?

“It's extremely useful having a product import system. This saved us countless hours of mindless data entry work.

The ability to set pages to HTTP, HTTPS or both is a useful feature. It meant not having to hardcode certain links.

The support with LemonStand is by far its greatest feature. Whenever I had a problem or issue, I could hit the forums or speak to the developer in charge and almost immediately get a response. If there was a bug he'd fix it within hours and if I had a feature request he'd listen and was open to criticism.”

Did using LemonStand make your development process faster, more enjoyable, more creative, etc?

“Using LemonStand definitely improved development time. Having the demo store set up meant only needing to modify what I needed to and not having to worry about boilerplate code or learning how to do things from scratch.”

Would you recommend LemonStand to others who need an eCommerce site? Why?

“Yes. The system is a breath of fresh air for anyone who has worked with eCommerce systems before. It's beautifully designed and fantastically thought  out. The price tag is 100% worth the decrease in development time.”

Do you plan on using LemonStand again, for future projects?

“Yes, I never see myself using any other eCommerce systems for building online stores. The other solutions out there simply are no where in the same league that LemonStand is.”

How does your client feel about using LemonStand? Do they have a favorite feature?

“I have found LemonStand to be an extremely user friendly system to use, especially when starting up a new business. I haven't to worry about searching around for things, the layout is well set out which makes it easy to add and delete products and update my inventory.

My favorite feature is being able to load up the picture and view it straight away plus the picture doesn't take forever to load. I also find that the dashboard with all the stats is a great tool to use every day to see how many people have been in your site and how much you have sold.

I have spoken to other people and they hadn't seen this function on their backend and were very intrigued to find out what my web designer used.”
