Marketplace documentation

While the Marketplace is still in development, we decided to publish some Marketplace documentation so that you can get familiar with some technical details.

The documentation covers topics like developing and publishing modules and themes and how the ordering process works for both customers and developers. The Marketplace documentation root page is here:

Which modules should you develop?

This question is a concern for many developers in our community. Our roadmap contains lots of features, and we're still adding new features to the list.

So, which modules you can develop that won't overlap with upcoming functionality? Fortunately, we have an answer for this question. After publishing the marketplace we are mostly going to work only on the features listed in the Roadmap, so before you begin implementing a new module, please refer to the roadmap and check whether it's on the list yet.

Another tool which should help avoid collisions between us and developers in our community is the Ideas area of the Marketplace. It will be a place where customers and developers can share their ideas about new modules, vote for them and even post references to existing implementations. We will announce the project details later, in a separate post.
