As the name suggests, the theme is simple and easily customizable. It is based on the popular CSS framework, 960 Grid System, and uses jQuery as the front-end JavaScript library. The theme is light on images, instead we've implemented most of the effects with CSS. This will make it much easier for you to customize the theme in all sorts of exciting ways! We have included 3 different color themes: orange, blue and green.
Implemented features
The list of implemented features includes:
- Custom product group on the home page (featured products)
- Product category and subcategory pages (unlimited nesting)
- Product list sort order options, product list view options (table, list)
- Product page with customer reviews and rating
- Product search
- Blog/news pages with comment form
- Customer registration feature, customer order history page
- Subscription form in the footer (the subscription itself is not implemented)
- Simplified checkout process - Combined Order Preview and Pay pages
- Bundle products
Unique features
In spite of the visual simplicity, the theme has some unique features. The add to cart controls on the Product page have quantity arrow buttons, which allow visitors to change the product quantity with the mouse. When a visitor clicks a product extra option checkbox, the option price is automatically added to the product price, so visitors can see the total product price before the product is added to the cart.
Another unique feature is the grouped product selector, which replaces the drop-down list in the default implementation. For example, if you were selling iPads, your grouped product selector would look like this.
The toggle control replaces the standard drop-down list for the category sorting selector. Also, the toggle control is used for switching the product list between the table and list view modes on the category page.
Unsupported features
Some LemonStand features are not implemented in the Simplicity theme, for example the product compare list and the related product list. These features are described in the documentation and can be easily added to the theme.
