Live Demo of LemonStand now up and running

We just put up a live demo of LemonStand for you all to take it for a test drive.

You can log into the Admin area and test out the CMS features, generate some reports and manage the shop including products, customers and orders. Take a look at the front-end and reference the templates, partials and pages to get a feel for how design implementation works within LemonStand.

Keep in mind that some features from the administrative panel are missing. We removed these to prevent tampering with the demo store in a way that would remove access for everyone. Some of the missiong features are very powerful, but you'll need to wait for the Beta to try them out. So other than that, you can feel free to play with things however you like. The environment will refresh itself back to its original state every hour.

We realize that there isn't any documentation or guides for you to figure out the subtleties of LemonStand at the moment, so we'll be working diligently on these things. Writing tutorials, documentation and even creating videos will be a priority for us moving forward. In the meantime, try to reverse engineer the demo store to get an idea for how things work.

Please note that the software is still in "Alpha" stage. If you notice any pecularities let us know!

Etsy Products

The store products are real. If you want to purchase them, follow the link to its makers Etsy store.

Have Fun

We hope you enjoy the demo and have fun getting to know LemonStand a little better. We're excited to continue sharing more and more with you and we get closer to the Beta release.

Very impressive. The templating engine appears easy to wrap your head around. I was wondering if LemonStand could manage subscriptions for physical products (ie. magazines, books, etc)?

Hi. I came across your site through one of the blogs you were featured in. Looks great, but I couldn't find any info on whether this is a hosted solution or one that is uploaded onto my own server. Might want to make that info easier to find—it's the first thing I look for when deciding between carts.

@Mack

As a subscription is a type of service, LemonStand can manage such type of orders. Customers just buy a subscription in LemonStand and then you can see the order in the order list. You can create "products" like "Top Gear Magazine subscription, 2009".
Then you can go to the Reports page and generate Products report, filtering only paid 2009 year subscription orders. Thus you will obtain a list of paid subscription orders on 2009 year. From the report page you can export customers as a CSV list and send it to the delivery department to send magazines to subscribers.

@Kerri

You are right. We are currently shuffling some things around on the website to make this more obvious. Thanks for the feedback. By the way... it is self-hosted, in case you were still unsure.

Hi the team,

After some test, it's really amazing! Clear, simple, easy to use et well documented. Good job !

It's possible to edit countries/currencies, 'cause I don't see any options for this ?

And about localization/translation ?

If you need some help to translate your app in French, you can contact me by email.

@Fred

Glad you like it!

Countries, states and currencies are editable in the admin area which is currently hidden in the demo. This is just one of the things unavailable in the demo for security reasons. We'll show you these features via blog posts in the coming weeks.

It is definitely possible to translate LemonStand. It supports localization. But at this point we aren't ready for that. It is simpler to localize things once it is mostly complete. But it's possible and we'll certainly do it.

Hi Danny,

Thanks for your explanations.

I'm really excited to use it because I was using Magento and Prestashop in the past but none really met my expectations ;)

Best regards.

This looks very impressive. If the pricing hits the sweet spot I can see this being very successful. How soon do you think we'll know about pricing?

Thanks,

Liam

In the demo, the only payment options are PayPal. Will the final product allow payments through other credit card processors?

@Mack

Of course. PayPal is the only payment gateway integrated at the moment, but the final product will have many more. And of course you can create modules to support more using the API. We'll try to support the most common out of the box, but LemonStand is flexible and you could build modules to integrate the most obscure of payment gateways.

Very good work! Congratulation! One important thing to me that I couldn't find is comparing features of some products. Do you plan to add this?

@Roland - Product comparison is indeed planned and on our list. Thanks for asking.

Thank you for your reply. I forgot one more thing: filtering with multiple choice. For example products with white or blue frame and 10x25 cm or 20x45 cm and under 50€ or above 200€.

@Roland - We are currently evaluating this feature. As you can imagine, there are many ways it could be implemented. We'll release more details about planned features in the near future.
